Korat Rescue Information: The Korat is a silver haired cat that makes a wonderful family companion. Korats are exceptionally good with children. This breed is very gentle, and may become timid or skittish around loud noises. Korats like to be stroked and held. Korats have exceptionally keen senses. The Korat can get along with other cats but wants to be number one with its people.

Korat Trivia: Korats are considered good luck symbols in their native Thailand. The silver coat of a Korat is considered a good luck charm to bring wealth. A Korat is depicted in a book dating from the Renaissance called The Cat Book Poems, located in the National Library of Bangkok.
